Do God and Science have to collide?
(Formerly, the Life, Universe and Everything course)

Hyndman Centre
Hospital Road
Bury St Edmunds
IP33 3JT

Science and faith are often po rtrayed as being opposites. Whether through watching science programmes on the BBC, reading Richard Dawkins or listening to some sermons in churches, science and faith are sometimes seen as being in different corners of the boxing ring.

However, historically and still today, there are many Christians who are fully at ease with their faith in this scientific world, intelligently defending their faith through reasoned argument.

What is the average Christian to make of this? Should we shut out the claims of science and bury our heads in the sand, or engage with it? Should we seek an understanding of the world that encompasses both science and faith? In this course we will look at what 'science' is, how it relates to faith and how both approach the big questions of life in the universe. In doing so we will look at the very small (biology) and the very big (cosmology).

Participants will be pleased to know that they DON’T need a PhD in Science to attend. This course is for everyone!
