The Godology Course

Course Content

Some words are scary to some people – spiders, exams, dentist…to name just a few! Theology can also be a scary word as it can sometimes appear to be the sole activity of religious experts who are very academic, learned and churchy.

Theology should not be heavy and scary for it is simply, by definition, the study of God, his world and his relations with people. You too can do theology and it can be fun!

The 'Godology' Course helps make theology accessible. It is an introduction to theology providing a fork, shovel and spade for people to go and do their own digging. So:

  • How do we do theology? Is there more than one way?
  • What makes Christian theology different?
  • Did Jesus do theology? If so, how?
  • How does theology affect my everyday life and the contemporary world in which I live?

Who is it for?

This course is for human beings who want to think about how God has interacted with his chosen planet - earth. It is also for people who are open to the possibility that theology could be fun.
